I think Magneto’s power is to control metal, not just magnetic metal. Magneto is just a misnomer/nickname.
If he could only attract metal wolverine does not even have to do anything. Also why Titanium? I thought Wolverine’s body is infused with the fictional Adamantium. Then what do they mean by “antimagnetic”? There is ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic. Then there is paramagnetic which is what titanium is.

There was a timeline where Magneto pulled the adamantium off Wolverine’s bones. His healing factor let him survive but the pain made him feral. Oh, and that was the first time I found out his claws were bone under the metal.
