You mentioned a corporation and for whatever reason that brings rage to a lot of people on here. It’s FOSS, donation only, or gtfo. If you develop anything and expect to be paid you are the devil even if you’re a lonely sole developer.
Mate your account is 2 weeks old. You’re not important.
And what, someone’s account being new means their contributions are somehow worth less? They were not actively trolling or anything
Honestly I’m more disappointed that this isn’t the first time on Lemmy that I’ve seen someone delete a post and then try to make a big scene about how they didn’t like the responses they got and were giving up on a community.
Lemmy has so little content that your complaint post gets to be top of a community for a while, so that’s nice.
You’re not the main character, people are entitled to opinions, and you don’t have to care or take them personally. It’s the internet, there will always be someone who complains even if it’s entirely unwarranted.
I’m skeptical of your claim
Didn’t it start lower? I thought it started at $5 a month.
But yea, I pretty much only subscribe to ones I use regularly. Which is mostly just Crunchyroll. Dr I’m not happy about them taking over Funimation. Now it’s mostly just Crunchyroll and HiDive. Occasionally Disney, Netflix, or Hulu gets an exclusive.
Some idiot said it was “almost required”
And a bunch of people piled on him for being ridiculous.

How does this relate to the post? The OP deleted the post themselves.
This person just wants to feel better for being banned for inflammatory comments.
Anyone who makes general sweeps about humanity like that are usually misanthropic cretins with no idea how to act socially, ironic as that guy’s post is.
Yup, lemmy is better than reddit as a platform sure, but as a community? Ehhh
Surprised it got a lot of backlash. The price increase of streaming service is bullshit while they’re removing sharing password and worse experience for the users.
Though, I saw the same picture on reddit through RSS-Feed. Haven’t checked the comments on that one, I’m curious now though.
Feel free to have a look: https://old.reddit.com/r/mildlyinfuriating/comments/1cd8ng5/the_price_increase_of_disney_over_the_past_4_years/
The few top comments are quite neutral, then it gets into the “CANCEL. YOUR. SUBSCRIPTION.” territory.
So I guess now Lemmy is on par with Reddit? Anyway
K, see ya around
What are you complaining about? Why do you care? Who gives a shit?
