My father is about to die, but he’s trying to take up the space behind the church next to a willow tree that I called dibs to my friends and family years ago after a game of cops and robbers, but he claims he doesn’t remember.
What’s my best course of action?
Should I fence off the perimeters? Chain myself to the willow tree?
Should I hire a lawyer?

I don’t mean to be disparaging when I ask, but genuinely why do you care what happens to your corpse after you die?

I’d imagine this is more about your relationship with your father than anything else, but maybe you’re genuinely committed to your dead body decomposing in a particular spot for some reason, and good for you if that brings you joy… but you’re alive now, enjoy life, don’t let petty arguments wick that from you.

But then I also see you mentioned ‘church’ so maybe logic and reason are totally out of this conversation anyway.

I am upvoting because it’s a good question. Not because I necessarily agree with the poster.
