    Had to throw out a wooden spatula yesterday. Spouse put it in the dishwasher and it became so rough, I can’t touch it anymore >.<

      I’m not alone! Yeah I had this perfect wooden spoon… but someone put it in the dishwasher. It got all this “piling” lumpy and sad dense texture and became unusable. I never found a good replacement, only compromise spoons. My current spoon is too long, and the handle is too thin, and this will mildly bother me forever

      I’m surprised you could use a wooden spatula from the start… I’ve never liked them, because it feels unsanitary (yes, I know there’s studies that show its naturally antimicrobial etc etc)
