“death” is not actually a thing; life is. that is what we should be looking at
i can actually handle loud noises really well, as long as they’re not unexpected loud noises

who gives a fuck if she looks good
she does (points at Ariana)
i mean, that’s most of the reason why she’s anorexic, right?

even if you’re right, making people stop adoring celebrities is about as difficult as hiding the night sky from people’s view

america has a “suffering is good, actually” culture. you see this in every aspect in life, especially work culture, it seems to me (as an outsider)

eh, i’d say, here in central europe, all the ingredients for a proper meal are to be had for probably 4€ (roughly $5) but still, restaurants add like a 300% markup to that or sth
i basically stopped going out to eat like a few years ago. i used to go to restaurants basically daily when it was like 6€ for a full, filling lunch. that was the good stuff.
now it’s like 8€ for a tiny sandwich and if you go to a “proper restaurant”, you easily pay 16€ just for the main course, then add drinks, etc. it’s just not worth it.
meanwhile if i eat at home, it’s basically never over 10€/day for all the day’s food. just mix potato salad with tuna and call it dinner, that’s what i do :)
first time?
Because women only want what that don’t have. If they have big tits they want a reduction, if they have small tits they want a boob job, if they have blonde hair they want brunette, if they have brunette hair they want blonde, if they have curly hair they want strait…
Every… Single… Woman I’ve dated has bitched about something they didn’t have naturally. The same with men, all these women that “never met good guys” have, they just ignored them because they could have them.
i think there is a term from chinese philosophy … called Diyu is a state of permanent unrest, where the people can never find peace because they’re constantly driven by something that feels off … it’s considered the opposite of a calm, “fine with how the world is” so called “buddha nature”.
yeah last time i checked (january this year i think) lemmy had maybe 30k users in total (there’s statistics here: https://lemmy.fediverse.observer/stats ) and it’s better than nothing but definitely has a higher ceiling than present.
7 separate posts to the community within an hour of each other
nah that’s fine. we need content anyways.
the user did post a whole lot of … icky content in the past (just generally bad takes about things, some unhinged things about religion, some “we’re better than them” posts). i’ve seen them a couple of times. username “grumpy” checks out

i met 3 new people in 3 different bars in the last 3 days. i was so exhausted yesterday, i slept the whole night and most of the following day, now i just woke up. looking forward to going out again soon :)
people talk about “safety” vs “privacy”, but privacy is safety in an oppressive regime.
