    Same here, for some of my mice and for a bunch more of things - for example a old pair of noise reduction headphones I have uses a single AAA battery.

    It’s only with a few years of you use that you really notice the great advantage of rechargeable AA/AAA batteries over custom format rechargeable batteries - when they invariably loose capacity after many recharging cycles, it’s stupidly simple to replace the AA/AAA batteries (and if you’re lucky the technology has improved in the meanwhile, so the newer ones are actually better) but not so for the custom format ones.

    That pair of noise reduction headphones (which I bought for work and are now used at home for gaming) are maybe 15 years old by now and gone through 3 or 4 generations of rechargeable batteries.
