the twitter tirade phase is always kind of funny.
better than the scary bad cop missiles being thrown around one. oooo.
That gotta be some transcendent level of entrepreneurship, not only maritime piracy, but in place they don’t even dare to close their warships to.
I would also like to see how they plan to enforce it on let’s say China or India or Russia.
Just a mob-style shakedown scheme. Dude is so uncreative.
Not that it matters, but what Trump is suggesting is illegal under international law and sets a dangerous precedent
Iran was going to charge $1 per barrel to “hostile” nations who transit the Strait. At oil’s current price, that’s a 1.33% fee. Trump is implementing a 20% fee to ALL traffic. With BS moves like these, It’s becoming hard to swallow the rhetoric that Iran is the evil player here.
trump moved his mob protection racket overseas. Union leaders everywhere are secretly jealous. /s
Of course The Idiot does not understand anyone collecting fees on that is a collapse of the status quo we supposedly demand, because nothing is real to him unless it’s a grift.
Good luck with that you stupid old fuck
“protection”
The US will be reimbursed 20% of whatever it costs to protect ships? That doesn’t seem like an awesome deal for the US
Read it again. 20 percent of all cargo shipped.
Yes, so this ship is full of debt paperwork and manure, we’d like your 20% of the negative 300 million in value and here’s your manure.
But it’s a reimbursement and mentions the types of services it covers, so is the 20% value the cap on the reimbursement requirement?
You are expecting too much from Trump. His pattern is to proclaim some new policy with shaky justification and no prior analysis. At best, his thought pattern is, “20% sounds like a good number.” Then he let’s the rest of his administration try to define something of substance around his public statements, hoping that he doesn’t contradict their attempts in the coming days.
sounds to me like he is just trying to stall for time in a way that doesn’t make them look weak, while they try to take the resources they need from latin america.
they are burning their oil reserves and if rumors have it, can’t make missiles fast enough for a sustained war either. the definite end of the petrodollar alone would probably be devastating.
That’s probably true
