Regardless of whether you win or lose, simply defending yourself against such a moneyed adversary in court will certainly bankrupt you while you endure years worth of relentless media harassment against which you will have to defend yourself alone without any assistance. This type of legal warfare is designed specifically to defeat the adversary simply because they are too poor to afford the multimillion dollar campaign of defense, typically afforded a defendant in such a high profile case, and is far more unfair than a typical criminal case which has a far more strict framework of legal procedure.
