I don’t like seeing sneaky shit from valve. All companies go that way eventually, hope it’s not now
I’m assuming what they meant is that it’s possible for PS4 era or indie games, which is probably half of what they expect the intended market (me) to play. (Unless it can’t do that for PS4 games either, in which case, oof)
That’s my use case for 4k anyway, like Switch 2 exclusives - which ALSO run at upscaled 4k 60fps, and some people market it as such, but nobody expects NS2 to do that for PS5 ports. (As pathetic as comparing the Machine to Switch 2 is)
The problem is Valve using “all current releases” and “4k60fps” very close to each other…
Probably reasonable, it is going to vary by game a lot. Some will easily and others not a chance. Got an old 2011 laptop that would output 4k 60FPS if it was capable of outputting 4k… Actually could probably SSH onto it from something else with a 4k screen. What FPS does a terminal get?
I refuse to use the terminal if it can’t freesync at 144hz. Screen tearing during updates sucks.
