The actual physical theme park in Japan.
I know this is maybe not the place but I couldn’t avoid to think those kind of projects are from another time.
Big infrastructures that need constant energy, food and people flow to work does not seems aligned with what is coming.
Dunno what others think about this…
Don’t know what you mean, people still like to go out and have fun. Amusements parks are still needed for outing with kids and family.
As a father, I am constantly looking for places my kids can enjoy, and if it’s a place where I can have fun too, that’s just perfect.
This could also have the potential to be incredibly energy efficient. I don’t know much about Japan, but Nintendo feels like they’d at least make efforts to reduce the carbon footprint. Most stuff at theme parks are already electricity powered.
Electric-powered means little if the means of producing that electricity comes from fossil fuels still. But, if they hook up some hidden solar panels or something, that might help offset it a bit.
