They heard someone say “RGB needs to die already” and misunderstood the assignment.
Love how the indentations in the top part of the case don’t at all match the dice on the bottom side of the case. Not the right positions. Not the right shapes. There aren’t even the same number of them! Seven dice in the bottom, but only six indentations in the top!
I love that the D10 fits in a hole that is a pentagon, but the hole is rotated 72° such that a corner of the die aligns with the center of a hole-edge.
Probably more indication that it’s Ai slop
The numbers look too consistent and legible for AI… I think it’s a 3D render of a product that isn’t even halfway through the design phase yet, and which may never actually come to market.
The dice seem to be a real product already, so I’m guessing it’s this charging case that isn’t a real product, at least not yet.
“Roll for initiative.”
“Sorry, give me just a minute. I got logged out of my dice.”
Better than “sorry, my d20 is disabled until I pay my yearly subscription fees, though they say d20+ rolls better”
“You should get the Electrum tier. It comes with a +5 to all d20 rolls. It’s only $80 a month if you do a 5 year plan.”
Every 1 is an unskippable ad

You think this is a joke? It’s not.
Oh yuck. The render and artwork for the box shows just the numbers illuminating, meanwhile the actual die just shoots light out of every surface. Horrible.
look inside app
yet more dataslop collection
I bought I light bulb I had to download an app, create and account, and sign in for
Would this not make the dice much harder to have a balanced weight?
There is no way the internal battery is symmetrical in every direction.
As someone who is extremely unlucky with dice and bought balanced ones for a ton of money, if someone told me I had to use these, I would just leave.
(The balanced dice actually works for me)
It’s not a bug, it’s a feature!
For $49.99 extra, they’ll include an extra little inertial motor inside each die that connects to your app and makes sure it lands on the number you want.
For Pixels, at least, a great deal of effort went in to making them perfectly balanced.
Well that’s one way to have exploding dice
Like this?

They are pretty cool tbh but the price is a yikes https://gamewithpixels.com/
Wow. Saw the price and thought, “That’s not bad, really.” Then I realized that was for one die, not the whole set.
Actually comparable for a lot of specialty dice. Which do tend to be a lot.
The difference is that you don’t have to replace your specialty dice after 2 years or so, because the battery died.
It’s the price you pay if you’re the kind of idiot who has to get the super techy luxury version of something that works amazingly well and functions perfectly fine at $1.
Literally one of the cheapest parts of tabletop games, and 100% functional at less than a buck or two. It’ll last your entire life too, if you’re careful. If you make a fancy electronic version you can charge whatever the fuck you want because the person already decided they’ll pay more than 100x what they need to for luxury they don’t need.

What about trust? Simplicity is a feature because it increases trust. Trust that the dice are fair. Dice that are unnecessarily complex reduces that trust.
They are pretty expensive, but considering each die has to have Bluetooth capabilities and a way to detect the result so it can transmit it, I’m surprised they’re not more expensive.
That is ridiculously gimmicky.
Looks very very cool and I am 100% certain after about 5 minutes of looking at it you had enough.
They also work with foundry vtt, I think.
I got a set of these as a present, they stopped charging and broke before I ever got to use them
Are we sure this isn’t AI slop?
I have those! The d12 doesn’t charge anymore after a few months, though. Sucks.
EDIT I think people haven’t bothered to check what product this is, annoying as this is I think I’ll do myself and others a favour by explaining what this is:
These are dice with LEDs in them, a sensor that tells when it hits a hard surface, and transparent digits on them. When you roll them, the sensor picks us a hit and the LEDs make the numbers blink for a few seconds. They come with a case you can connect via USB-C, each shape in the case has a charging pin, touching a small, metal surface on each die, through which they charge. In my case, even though the d12 is in the right position in its shape, it no longer charges. It’s still a black die with transparent digits, it just doesn’t blink, anymore.
Did it get stuck on a low number?
See my edit, I hope this clears it up.
Lol it was a joke like it couldn’t roll if it was broken. How can a dice like that be stuck on a number 😁 eh
do the holes in the upper lid also not match the bottom
See my edit, I hope this clears it up.
So close… Almost there… Unf, just a little more… All the way in… Yeah, wiggle it just like that, and… YES! YES, I AM! OHGODStheCHARGE! 🎉
Unfortunately they’re not shipping to the US because of tariffs right now, excepting what arrived before tariffs. Ask me how I know
AI slop.

Sometimes I think the people who call everything they’ve never seen before AI slop are just as silly as the people who don’t even question the slop.
No, real. I have a set of these.
So like… Do they light up?
Or is it Bluetooth connection to your phone so a proprietary app can
harvest data“track rolls to improve user experience” while just giving you an easy way to reference previous rolls?I’m actually curious, I can’t imagine why dice would need to charge unless they’re light up.
And now I want a pair of light up dice that are brass and have some kind of draconic theme with bones and scales to make the number indicators…
That’s all mine does is light up. No BT
Neat!
How sad is it that my first thought was data harvesting bluetooth app… Everything is enshitfified.
A light up metal set sounds cool.
This picture at least makes zero sense, I’ll give you that.
Really? You can’t envision a way these could be real?
