We all know the stereotypical “Autistic people can’t be very empathetic” and “They have troubles communicating”

I’ve never been diagnosed with being on the spectrum. Yet my symptoms are an almost perfect fit.

With two exceptions; I think I am very empathetic. Too much even, if you ask me. I feel like I know what moves most people and that is a good reason for not wanting to bother with them.

The other one is being able to communicate well - more or less. But that might just be good training, I don’t know.

What are your thoughts?

EDIT: Typos.

Thank you for such a thorough answer. I am not capable of reading and understanding that right now, but I will as soon as I’ve got some sleep. Cheers.
