My current car that I’ve owned since new. A 2009 Mitsubishi lancer vrx. Sitting at about 240,000kms right now
A friend has a Gen 2 Prius with 330k miles and counting.
About to hit 500k KMs.
Just under 200k when the engine block failed. Would have cost more to fix than it was worth sadly
Never owned a car…
I did 16,000km on my gravel bike though before someone stole it
This is the way…except for that last part. Someone got my touring bike. I know their life probably sucks already if they’re that desperate, but a small part of me still kind of hopes they step barefoot on a Lego brick, like right in the heel, every single day until they turn away from their life of crime.
194k miles, but I got nothing on this guy with 3,260,257 miles:

My current car is under 15k. I got it new in 2020 because I thought I would have to commute forever. Fate smiled on me and now I walk or take public transportation most places. It’s weird having something that’s been essential my whole life become more of a cost than a benefit. It would have bene way cheaper to use a mixture of rental cars and ride shares if I could have seen the future. As it is, it’s paid off, fuel efficient, and cheap to maintain. I’ll keep it, but it’s probably my last car.
Around 180k miles in my Toyota Corolla from '86. It died due to rust, I was a student so I didn’t have a lot of money to maintain it. It died in 2021. Besides the rust the car could’ve lived way longer. The engine and steering was in a perfect shape. Loved that car.
1,289,000ish
Close to 400k kilometres. Hyundai accent from early 2000s. The rusting made it not possible to pass the tech inspection any longer and the costs to fix it were too much. It was only a small engine as well, 1.4 liter gasoline, naturally aspirated. Still miss it, it was my first car.
Getting close to 250k on my Escape; it’s been a complete tank.
Almost 190k on my explorer before I wrecked it. Never had any major mechanical issues, or even many minor ones.
~240k miles on a 1987 Volvo 240 station wagon before I sold it. Absolute tank of a car.
I’ve never owned a car personally with less than about 150,000 miles on it
My parents did get a brand new Kia sportage during cash for clunkers so pretty close to 0 miles on it
After that, the runner up is my dad’s truck. It’s a '93 forD ranger, and it just hit 100k within the last year (I’m proud to say I was driving when it happened)
He’s the third owner, my grandfather had it until he lost his license and he basically never went anywhere, and I have no idea who had it before him.
For a lot of the time after that my dad also worked less than a mile from home and other than that my mom does most of their driving. They also had 3 cars for much of that time so that further cut into how much use the truck got.
Edit: did a dumb, read this as lowest for some reason
I’m currently somewhere around 220,000 on my '07 4runner, and I believe that’s about the highest I’ve had.
My dad has a Geo Metro, I believe 1998. I flipped the odometer past 200,000 when he loaned it to me as my college junker in the mid 10’s. He still has it as his gas efficient commuter, I expect the meter is past 300k now.
I didn’t. Luckily for me the local public infrastructure allowed me to get around without one.
Ps: No one stole my bike, yet.
Attach an odometer to that bad boy
:D
