*immediately forgets that the alarm ever happened as soon as I put the phone back down*
Definitely a risk. I try not to dismiss the notification until whatever needs to be done is done.
Man, if I could just stop that stupid habit of swiping away notifications immediately. I have my emails and stuff giving me notifications just in case I get important ones, but it’s mostly just spam that I swipe away after glancing at.
I’ll swipe it away and immediately be like “shit, I needed that one! Fuck!” That’s how I lost my Medicaid because I forgot about my renewal stuff. Been trying to get back on it for nearly a year now.
Just set up a reminder alarm for whatever you were doing.
