Finished Xuan Yuan Sword: Mists Beyond the Mountains! I thought I was near the end but there was tons still left to do. Finally finished it though.
Overall, quite a good game, but feels very dated in certain aspects. Side quests can be difficult to find, and since there is no log, difficult to remember and complete. Sometimes there is no direction on what to do even in the main quest, so you have to move around everywhere while dealing with random encounters. Text can also be a bit difficult to read at times, specially the highlighted items, which appear in red, they are most times almost impossible to read.
That aside, there is a good level of depth in the system, you can capture mosters, fuse them, fuse most of the other things too. I didn’t delve too deep in the fusion system so not sure how useful it actually is. The story was pretty interesting, with quite a few twists and turns.
Looking forward to playing next game in the series.
No updates on Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed and Pokémon Pokopia this week since I was focusing on Xuan Yuan Sword. Will get to both of them over the weekend.
What about all of you? What have you been playing and/or plan to play?

Been working through Octopath Traveler II.
I’ve done all chapter 1 and most chapter 2 stories for all 8 characters. I’ve come to accept that any attempt to prevent overlevelling for the main story is fruitless as my Ochette just cuts through any boss. Instead I’ve done some optional high level stuff to get challanging boss fights, which were great.
Also watched my partner play a ridiculous amount of Tomodachi Life. It seems like a lot of fun, but the pool of random events seems quite small. Also, a few things from the original game were cut, like the option to create custom songs.
This is where I was in Octopath Traveler when I just gave up. The game started feeling too repetitive.
Hopefully they will add more stuff in Tomodachi Life.
