I will avoid saying why I’m planning on doing it now only because it will color people’s interpretation of why I’m doing it.

Hopefully my Iran flag will come in time, but it will the a 3’ by 5’ flag and it will tough be 10’ in the air and I will be with other protestors.

I have waves the Palestine flag in multiple previous protests and I get the sense that people don’t recognize it like the LGBT flag

Im not wild about it myself. The protest is about our people wanting to change the way our government and society do things and I feel having foreign flags kinda suggest foreign influence. I mean if people in europe where protesting for the plight of the typical american I would not want them waving american flags because that is a symbol of our country which, like it or not, now includes what our government is currently doing. It does not really represent the current people. Im not big on nationalism though but you kinda gotta fight for what your cultural symbols mean or you will have the folks flying the countries flag along the nazi flag and a failed states flag. Given all that I could totally seeing flying a native american flag if there is one since they are not external.

I could interpret that as Being pro American citizens since all Americans are taught to unite under flag and constitution, I can see wanting to exclude support of the federal government when supporting Americans people.

I was thinking about making a sign that said ZOHRAN 2028 as a way to push more leftist/DSA agenda, but ZOHRAN i thought that would give more credence to crazy Trump 2028 people. Solidarity was a better message anyway

I tend to have an upside down american flag. It might set some of them off but that is because they are ignorant in the use of flags in maritine situations. I figure I can’t really cure ignorance and maybe someone will explain to them at some point what an upsidedown flag means. Besides that my message is its unacceptable to violate the constitution. I mean there is a lot more stuff but its like any project. You got to prioritize.

Yeah I forgot what the upside down flag means. I know backwards flag is meant for running into battle. But educating hundreds of people on upsidedown flag on top of getting out that message would be hard. Protesting is iterative to get as much of what you want out there

Flying the Stars and Stripes upside down is a distress call. And at least in my neck of the woods, authorities will respond to it; on occasion the students at high schools tasked with hoisting the flag in the morning will sometimes attach it upside down, and police or fire show up to ask what’s wrong.

That is the thing. Those who don’t look more or engage around it are pretty much a lost cause. Nothing will move them. Those who can manage to look a bit into things can be brought into engagement by finding things out and they might be brought over. My theory anyway.
