He’s getting more and more unhinged so I think people will eventually stop taking him seriously anyway. Jiang seems to have some religious agenda based on the Bible. Anyway, his ‘predictions’ were shared by many geopolitical analysts I follow. Trump’s return and that the US would have a showdown with Iran? We all saw that coming.

I once discovered a sociology equation that makes anyone appear as a prophet.

You start by make opposing claims under different entities.

Example: Under a red avatar, claim Trumps wins the election. Under a blue avatar, claim Trump losses. Then, do the same thing for tons of topics. Stocks go up, war in Iran, who wins, etc. Eventually, with enough predictions you may have convinced a pool of people that you can predict the future. Even if the pool goes from 10 million to 2,000 over time. Imagine what having a pool of 2,000 people who think you are omnipotent can do for you.

That being said, Jiang’s predictions have been wildly correct on the topics I listed above. It would take a new precedent of being incorrect to challenge his value. I don’t know that much about him, but that’s already happened. How many predictions were wrong?

Either way, who cares? Only the modern idiot takes YouTube, Twitter, Reddit and even Lemmy as a reputable source for anything substantial. Outside the thought experiment: “what if this is true? Then…” these posts are entertainment at best.

Getting informed in the modern age looks like taking leads from anywhere and doing independent research. For example, you can email scientists who write papers. Ask them directly. The ones I’ve engaged are usually eager to respond. But starting with a scientific paper with multiple sources and peer agreed conclusions… that’s the bare minimum.

To have a true independent thought, you must immerse in the facts and think hard on something.

If you just listen to podcasts or watch YouTube, or at worst… just collect headlines. You honestly shouldn’t share your opinion at all.
