Bush did confirm he was attending the summit, but he wasn’t gonna share the scene with Castro, so the Mexican president solved the conundrum in the most sloppy way that, to this day, still provokes me utter embarrassment. He asked Fidel to get out of Mexico, as soon as Bush would appear.
