Instead of trying to scour the web for (usually Ai generated) recommendations, I figured I would come where the experts are at :3

I absolutely love compression on my legs, so, while I don’t really visit communities like here, I can see there are lots of people here that have the knowledge. If there’s a better community to post this to, I can move it there.

I need socks that are suitable for tall and skinny. 5’ 10" and about 130lb. I would like ones that teach the upper thigh if that’s a thing. I would use them mainly for sleeping or lounging around, so ones that resist slipping would be great. As far as budget, $40 max, but I’d prefer under $30. I’m in the US by the way.

How do you rate their feel? I like stuff that’s really soft to the touch but not fuzzy. Like a really good t-shirt kinda fabric.

Not sure how I would feel about socks with ribbing though. As long as it’s not a rough texture, I think I would like it.

Do you have recommendations for particular styles or materials from Sock Dreams?

      Right?!

I was thinking to myself, who would know the most about these socks? What better place than the community that’s all about socks XD

If any mods or experts are reading this, a great idea to make would be a stickied buying guide.

Ohmygosh something I can actually help out with!!! I bought several pairs of Kixies brand thighhighs a while back. These have rubber grippers at the top of each thigh-high that help prevent gravity from pulling the socks down. I specifically bought these pairs to stealth girlmode at work and at other places where I’m not quite out yet. I highly recommend!

Pro-tip - if you can, go to a sex shop with a trusted friend/partner/ally and pay in cash.

In case you’re interested, here are the socks I picked up:

1 - Standard solid black (NOT super thin)

    2 - Argyle-style

    Good luck & happy thigh-high hunting :3

I do like the idea of rubber grips. Do you feel they rub you or squeeze too hard?

It’s nice to hear how good they make you feel!

Funnily enough, I’m a fairly typical cis person (maybe a little bi in some ways). It’s still cool to see how these communities interact and live. I was raised as a kid to hate anything other than straight and cis, so getting a chance to be involved with these communities is a bit of a new thing for me.

Going to shops like those is no problem for me. The main problem is there aren’t many near where I live.

They are snug and I love how they feel on my thighs. If they were too tight or uncomfortable, I would not be recommending at all! No way would I want to put others thru that. Hope this helps!

          That’s great to hear!

I’m thinking I might go with Sock Dreams for my first pair. I’m looking for something thicker and more sock-like.

I will definitely keep Kixies on hand though for potential future socks (or if I want to get socks for someone else :3)

I’ve kinda done something similar using thermals. I’m not sure if I’d like using a full onesy. It would probably a bit of a hassle for when I need to take it on and off. Maybe if it was a perfect fit, I wouldn’t mind too much.

Like other commenters suggested, I recommend Sockdreams they have the best quality thigh highs I’ve gotten from anywhere, and they have great options for taller individuals. If slipping is a concern I would also recommend getting some garters or sock glue (they sell both as well).

For a long time my top recommendation has been to commission some perfect fit socks from a tailor.

After that, I’ve had decent success with Kayhoma knitted tube thigh-high socks.
