Why do you think that is a standard Iran should abide by? “But x is doing worse” is not an excuse for crimes against civilians.
Why are people pretending like rioting terrorists with shotguns and AK’s are now innocent civilians? The videos we’ve seen of large marches show the Iranian government was pretty lenient until the Israeli backed rioters started setting buildings and people on fire and shooting at the police.
How do you know the people with guns aren’t plain clothes cops trying to escalate violence and delegitimize protestors like they do in Western countries?
Because Iran knows they will be demonized for any violence so the likelihood that they are Mossad agents shooting at both cops and protesters to escalate the violence on both sides is infinitely higher.
What if both possibilities were accurate and there were some Mossad agents among the mix because geopolitics and cops were in the mix to delegitimize protestors?
