What I found interesting was the rationale behind the 16 available colors. Black and white, RGB, CMY, gray, and dark versions of each outside of B&W. Makes so much sense, but I never thought of it that way.
What is CMY?

Garish yes, but it was great for color-blind people.
If you read the comments to Atwood’s article, you’ll see some speculation that it’s actually great if you’re color blind, and then you’ll see that speculation debunked.

As a color blind person, it’s not.
As a colour blind person, I’m pretty sure I used this for a while.

I used the black and white one in college.
My laptop screen was only black and white.
It also had a clip-on trackball as a mouse.
