Just curious, do you tinker with small solar panels to recharge batteries for your projects?

I bought a chinese one and its performance is abysmal, so I thought I’d better ask around before buying more ewaste :-/

I’d love a solar powered robot but that seems hard, but wifi modules and control systems should be able to work solar only, right?

    Can you explain a bit better what you mean? Like a movable solar panel to charge a phone over usb?

    For those it is basically better to charge a usb power-bank at a good sunny spot, at the optimal time and use that charge the phone later.

      More like a stationary thingy, well movable but you put it somewhere for days, weeks or more. Like a climate station for example, that collects data over time. Could be a boat set free in the ocean (barring all other problems like pollution).
