Took an offramp from a highway that fed into an intersection with a 4 way traffic light. I pull up to the red light, one car in front of me - total beater, rusted, dented, dirty… Looked like a demolition derby car or something.

Cross traffic’s light turns yellow, and a few people try to press their luck and squeeze into that last millisecond. Too many: they get grid-locked into the intersection.

Our light turns green. Can’t go cuz of grid lock: big ol pickup truck right in front of us.

Dude in front of me must have been having a shitty day and this was the last straw: brake lights turn off, and he fucking floors it. Charges straight into the truck, t-boning into the truck’s rear passenger side door / rear passenger side wheel.

Reverse lights come on, dude backs up a few feet, then does a u-turn back into on- side of the ramp we just got off.

Truck is fucked. Rear wheel is tilted out at like a 45° angle, fender is dangling off, door looks like crumpled paper.

Was gonna offer to stick around as a witness, but he had like the full nine of Trump stickers, Gadsden flag, thin blue line flag etc, so fuck him, I just continued on my way to work.

But damn, there are some crazy fucking drivers out there!
