Nah, I’m not against all weapons, that’s idealism. I’m against weapons owned by capitalist empires, I’m in favour of weapons used to fight fascism, like the rifles and tanks sent by the Soviets to the Spanish Republicans, Anarchists and Communists in the Spanish Civil War.

this is why I’ve always wanted to own a Kalashnikov rifle, preferably one of the ones used by the Soviet-backed forces of Afghanistan or Vietnam. Always felt it’d be rad as hell to have a piece of that history.

        Ding ding ding!

Also… nobody specified this tank was armed with functional weaponry.

You can fuse/weld/sabotage a tank barrel into inoperability, you can unmount coaxial, cupola mounted mgs, even remove the smoke launchers and other counter measures, you can remove all the ammo and munitions.

IRL, this does happen, private tank ownership is pretty fucking rare, but it does exist, and they are basically civillianized in the above described ways.

They are also not road legal, for… hopefully very obvious reasons.

Maybe the most famous example of this is Arnold Schwarzenegger owning an M47 Patton and occasionally just taking it out to a track to drive around on, run over old junked cars and such.

In case folks forgot, or are too young to remember… yeah, this is basically what Arnold decided to do after he finished being ‘the Governator.’
