The military in the US has basically become militarized police. They are mostly brainwashed crayon-eaters that gargle Trump’s balls, so we are all fucked.
The pay is closer to $43k. The $35k is a signing bonus.
Plus you get food and board paid for so that’s another early 12+K

The food does come out of your paycheck if you live on base, but it wasn’t very much back when I was in. Granted the food was bad too lol

43k a year? That’s almost 30% more than you’d get in the Netherlands for a minimum wage job where nobody shoots at you.
And in the Netherlands the wages are lower because the cost of living is as well.
So that US salary comes to €36k, €28k I assume you calculate your minimum wage to then? (28 + 30% would be 36.4)
About the same here in the UK, kinda need a reason beyond the money if you are going to join because the money is shit for what you have to do.
