I was writing a comment on this thread but after I posted it, it showed up here.

That second thread is in the same community and was posted while I was typing, so that’s probably the reason. I’m from lemmy.world myself, if that makes a difference.

    I logged in about 3 hours ago and was browsing Lemmy.ml. While looking around, I got suddenly logged out. I pressed “Log in” and it immediately logs me back in and on the top right, my username was “Unwarlike”.

    I can only assume this was someone else’s account and the app messed something up.

    I pressed logout and then logged back in and it went back to normal.

    I think there are a few bugs that need ironing our in lemmy’s codebase.

    Edit: It happened again.

      Uff I remember when I was doing web QA and our project had this bug. I was freaked out because everything was broken, but this was the last straw and I stopped giving a shit :p
