Wow, the level of detail on this theme is really impressive!
As as aside, I didn’t realize that GTK had officially banned theming. That seems…dumb.
Holy crap, this is amazing! I mean, I kinda hate the XP UI (and the UE was worse lol), but if you loved it, good on you! This is fantastically close. Like, it’s uncanny.

I miss Windows 7 though.
I have followed this guide in a VM and it sort of works. It involves messing with source files to get it working on a modern setup (many outdated dependencies, compiler requirements, a few bugs here and there) and some helper files crash the UI, but it’s getting pretty close. With Wine set up I bet you’d be able to fool quite a few people into thinking you’re actually running Windows 7 with a weird translucency added to Aero.
We’ll never seen the full care and unified design Microsoft put into Windows 7 on a normal desktop. For a short while I had hope for Gnome, because it’s fat window borders seem to mirror Windows 7s quite well, but Gnome went all anti-theming and CSDso I don’t think it’s worth putting effort into such a theme.

Fuck…
If I weren’t told this was just a theme, I’d have confused it for the real deal. It’s absolutely fantastic! Tremendous job!
I love the level of precision and dedication. I was just working on making XFCE look like Gnome but don’t have anything uploaded.
