I’m in that boat. I’m a land lord. I built my forever home but after a medical issue I lost my job. Unfortunately my career choice, while lucrative, only has one or two positions per state. So I had to move. I’d like to return to the home I built but that won’t be for another 10 years minimum when I retire. I don’t want to sell my home, so I rented it out.
