When did I say it’s open-source? And why would it need Plex? I’ve used it with Samba, S3, WebDAV but never Plex

I use Firecore Infuse, never understood the hype with Plex
That song is super tacky, makes me cringe every time
I never understood this. I’ve been using macOS for a long, long time but in Terminal with either bash or zsh it’s always been as picky as Linux/other UNIX systems with casing.
Even in Finder if you navigate to a directory by path you have to use the proper case.
Am I missing something? I haven’t manually chosen a case-sensitive filesystem, but I sure would if it didn’t already seem case-sensitive.
I’m divided on this.
In one hand, when I haven’t done my habits for awhile it seems like everything goes to chaos.
But many days I dread all the annoying chores I do making everyday feel the same.
I work from home and tried to do this, but it’s easier to just wait until lunch. Once you’re in the habit though you won’t know how you ever didn’t do it before.
I keep reading the last as “have divorce” for some reason
Rock, paper, scissors (whoever gets to 10 first wins). I didn’t win.
Yeah, I guess I didn’t care but everyone on my back about it had me thinking “maybe they’re right.”
Typically when people give me advice it’s not good, but if I stand my ground people lose their minds. The people here are like a cult where everyone has the same opinions about everything and if you don’t conform they feel the need to nag you incessantly — if you just mention “hey I’m doing it because X” then they’ll get huffy and say “you don’t need to explain yourself.”
I hate to generalize but this has happened to me too many times to count since I moved here ~10 years ago. I would love to leave but it’s too late, now I’m stuck here.
A city near me installed traffic lights and/or stop signs in their tiny residential roundabouts. In my mind it seriously speaks to the stupidity of drivers around here, but also the city for enabling them.
Yes, exactly!
Taking it to another level, my pet-peeve recently is drivers signaling the opposite direction they’re turning. I see it all the time (at least in the past few years) and I can’t figure out where the logic comes from.
Which is actually amazing for tacos and as an added bonus is you don’t get those nasty grizzly parts
There’s a Starbucks near me close to a complicated intersection. Without fail every Tesla making a left at the intersection does so directly into the rightmost lane (three lane street) then slams the brakes to turn right into the parking lot for Starbucks, all without a turn signal.
What also gets me is the right lane is super extra wide so you can move over and make the turn into the parking lot as slowly as you’d like, but instead they need to make sure they completely back up traffic behind them as they slowly make it across the left part of the right lane.
It’s usually not that complex. If someone has a plate of chilaquiles with egg on it and I say I’m vegan I don’t think it’s hard to discern that I’m probably not going to eat it.
I used to drive a 1999 Nissan Sentra, it looked like a wreck but it got me everywhere I needed to go and was quick and cheap to repair. Everyone told me “you need to get rid of that car.” At the time I wasn’t making tons of money, but I did gain $5K in stocks suddenly during COVID-19.
I searched for “best cars for $5,000” and one of the recommendations was an Audi A3. I didn’t really know shit about cars so I went for it, and boy did I end up spending a lot more than $5K in repairs in the first few years (though luckily I started earning a lot more).
I still love the car to death, but it’s a 10 year old luxury vehicle. I still don’t trust it to get me to the next state but I don’t commute to work so it’s cheaper at this point to keep it and maintain it well rather than buy another used car (with an entirely new set of problems) or take out a huge, huge loan for an updated equivalent (the car is completely optioned out).
I also learned that with German vehicles you must, must find a highly knowledgeable mechanic that you can trust. A few times I took it to a cheaper mechanic closer to home but found out 1-2 years later he didn’t actually fix the problems.
Had I simply waited another few years I probably wouldn’t have had to spend a fortune fixing the damn thing, and I’d probably be financially stable enough to actually get a better car. But I live in Los Angeles where the people I know will feel shame on my behalf due to the car I drive. 🙄
Maybe not advice but people who condescendingly say “you don’t have to explain yourself” are exactly the people who want you to explain yourself.
Same goes with “I hate drama” folks.
Right. I guess people mix up the two a lot so for me it’s just easier to say “no animal products” plainly.
How could I forget? It always blows people’s minds that I don’t eat fish, but before I was vegan I never liked fish anyway but no one had a problem with it then.
