3 months agoTime and time again questions like these come up, and always go unanswered or ignored, mostly since the very question is wrong. Any computer is a good Linux computer, as well as (maybe kinda) any computer is a good Windows computer.
Instead of asking “is X good for Y”, you should give us more information about your workflow. A thinkpad that is perfect for code editing or general office work is next to useless for CAD work or games.
So, my advice, in future, tell us what you’re looking for. The underlying OS is just a tool for running your programs. Hope this doesn’t come accross as condescending, this isn’t my goal :)
Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I’m glad no new Elder Scrolls game is coming out. With the enshittification of Bethesda, the announcement of TES6 coming out would just hype everyone only for it to be a buggy, microtransaction-filled trashcan. See Starfield.
I’m more hyped for Skyblivion than for TES6.
