It is quite common in my experience to use “getting a check” as a figure of speech. Similarly I’ll say “I get my check every Wednesday” but I have direct deposit. And I’m not even old lol

The US Federal code of regulations. Im a US customs broker. At 50 titles and sometimes 100s of pages per title if not thousands, it’d be quite the read in one go!

Edit: I just checked, it changes pretty regularly, usually stands somewhere around 90 thousand pages. The specific code on customs brokers is title 19 part 111. But really the whole thing is specific to my job in one way or another. I’ve never actually read the entire thing personally as it’s practically impossible. I look up whatever I need to as needed.

DMX. I was working at a cell phone store in Western New York in 2016 and he had just gotten out of prison and wanted to get a new phone for his daughter. He had quite the eccentric entourage with him! He was actually quite nice and took pictures with everyone in the store and had some convos with people. Wow a Fry and Laurie meme! I love it lol. I discovered Fry and Laurie after watching house and looking the actors up, it’s a hilarious bit of British comedy, I highly recommend if you like Monty python or anything like that!

I’m a millennial, and I still dress all emo even in my 30’s. My 20 year old coworker even complimented my black skinny jeans with zippers in random places the other day. I got curious about how old this meme was, so off to knowyourmeme.com I went, and then went down an unexpected rabbit hole. The creator of this meme started the website cheezburger.com, who bought knowyourmeme itself like a decade ago, and he also was involved in facebooks crypto attempt (Libra). Pretty wild stuff!
