I don’t see how it can’t be a NT vs autism thing.
They’re only taboo subjects because society (primarily NTs) decided they were taboo.
Autistic people have to follow the rules set by NTs, not the other way around.

I specifically did not say all NDs can do this, simply that it is not unique to NTs
Such a dumb take. NDs can also do this, it just requires practice through meditation.
I’m guessing this is what you’re talking about?
I sank a few hundred hours over many different characters into Skyrim. Still never finished the main quest line.

I need a tasks app that somehow fixes this problem.

“I intended to do it, but I could not force myself to do it.”
Genuinely envious of how understanding the people in your life are if this wasn’t simply met with anger, frustration, resentment etc.
I’m glad they work for you, but I would not buy these purely because of the pseudoscience nonsense, regardless of how comfortable they are.
features our proprietary Grounded Conductive Laces™ and iON SYNC® earthing plug. These innovative elements create an electrical bond with the earth, mimicking the barefoot experience.
How It Works:
- Grounded Conductive Laces™: Stainless-steel-lined laces and a copper lace plug weave grounding properties directly into the sandal’s design.
- iON SYNC® Earthing Plug: A conductive rubber plug at the mid foot facilitates electron transfer from the earth to the sole of your foot.

Responding to a request for something with multiple somethings? This is definitely where you belong.

If this is the post you’re referring to, it was specifically just about dev/software tools, but the post title made it sound more general

Most people will do that but within the confinement of “I’ve used/heard of this brand”
That’s because most, if not all, ASD traits are not exclusive to neurodivergent individuals.
The difference is in the degree to which those traits/symptoms are exhibited and/or how much they affect one’s ability to function.
Even if it was just meant as a joke, there is actually research in this general area:
The recent finding of the microbiota–gut–brain axis indicates the bidirectional connection between our gut and brain, demonstrating that gut microbiota can influence many neurological disorders such as autism. Most autistic patients suffer from gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms.

We have no squirrels here, and I didn’t know that they barked. Thank you for this knowledge.

The main reason “dieting” doesn’t work is because people think it’s a temporary change rather than a lifelong change.
(You did address this, but it was quite far down, so I wanted to point it out more clearly.)
This is what always frustrates me when people complain about GIMP’s UI!
The common opinion is to “make it more like Photoshop”, but Photoshop is absolutely not beginner friendly - most of those people are just familiar with it already.
I remember being completely lost and constantly getting annoyed when I first started using Photoshop.
For anyone reading this who may not be aware, there’s a lot of overlap between the two diagnoses, and there’s a chance you may have both.
So what you’re saying is I have great potential but just need to apply myself?
I’m sure most do, but it’s far more likely for their rules to be ignored/overridden if they don’t fit in with society’s idea of normal.
For example, an autistic person who does not like being touched is more likely to be seen as the “problem” than someone who tries to shake their hand or give them a hug. People who are close to them will probably learn to respect to that individual’s personal rules, but NTs seem to less adaptable to social change, particularly if it’s inconvenient to them.
Definitely, but a lot of them exist for good reasons. I suppose I’m talking more about the seemingly arbitrary rules here.
In my experience there just generally seem to be fewer “global” rules, but when rules are broken people get over it more quickly.
I guess this depends on the person, but that applies to everyone, not just NTs.
