I mean I’d imagine they’d say that a common theme with your character’s is valid misgrievances with authority, especially perceived as incompetent and evil — hence deserving of retribution for disrespecting your character’s natural peace.

At the very least, a therapist would identify whether you generally perceive threats/issues as internal or external - or your PCs have ultimately external threats and want to rectify that while other people’s PC (like my own) usually have internally-derived

I may need to reread but I recall interpretating it as “looney-tunes” logic where the rule is “defeat in one punch” and that he broke his personal “limiter” despite the somewhat normal regiment (gotta respect that 10k run everyday).

Everyones got different limiters (Garou I think is the closest other example we have) but the sheer work needed to break a limiter is described as ridiculous. It shows how average Saitama begun as and how seriously he took the training to do that everyday.

Jogging got me into eating regularly and destressor (I visualised as which is going to win - a 5k run or my mood/frustration).

if your anger wins, you finish the 5k in record time (next time go farther). Most of the time I just finish the run feeling less stressed and more able to tackle the issue with a clear mind without the mood.

Now I actually have legit reason to feel tired and friends/family look at me as an athlete for just doing 5k. There’s a lot of benefits but just make sure to go at your own pace/growth and not compare to others.

  • It’s probably the most accessible anime I openly recommend. It’s well-animated, strong visual identity, simple premise, unique setting for an anime, and an excellent adaptation of the comedy.

I emphasis the comedy and accessibility because, historically, anime has suffered from borderline cringey tropes/humour (fanservice, perverted humour, women sharing one personality, etc) which limits it’s audience to a specific demo. SpyXFamily blends western aesthetics with clean humour all from the perspective of a realistic 5yo that sees the world wonderfully juxtaposed to an era of turmoil.

You may not love it but I feel confident recommending this as a gateway to other great slice of life animes (Like Skip & Loafer, Dungeon Meshi).
