He killed the two parents there, one of their children, and another child that was there for a sleep over with an axe. He tried to kill another 9 year old child there as well, but they survived.

A true life actual axe murderer.

It made sense with t9 texting. Smartphones have easy to use keyboards and autocorrect. No reason to still type like you have to make 7 or 8 key presses to type “you.”

I can’t stand the competitiveness now. Like, I know I suck and I’ll never be good because quick reactions aren’t my jam.

I still want to play every now and then, but since I play infrequently I really need something with a very simple mechanic. 30 characters to pick from is overwhelming and I can’t learn how to level up and pick a character build during the 10 minute matches and I’m not going to study builds before I play games casually. And I feel bad when I’m trying to learn and I sink the team. Like who wants to be the one that causes a dozen other people to not have fun or get frustrated. Give me counterstrike. You get good guys or bad guys. Then a handful of guns in very specific categories.

I really like RPGs where I can take my time and learn the game. Where mechanics arent too crazy and where there is only one currency in the game.

I feel like it’s become too complicated to pick up some games now.

You’ve got normal gold, then some weird premium gold that you get at a much slower rate. And somehow a third currency that you can only buy.

There are hundreds of build paths, and somehow within the first 5 levels before you even know the game or whats good you have to make a decision and lock yourself out of half of them.

Each character has a gimmicky different way to level up or learn moves.

Then there are mini games, where you have to collect things or others where you now need to level up in a whole different way. And then lock out entire portions of the main game unless you spend a dozen hours playing a mini game that really isn’t that fun.

But I digress, I really like single player that at this point are pretty easy to get into and start having fun or experience the story right away.

I think this really underpins that much of the internet is built on systems we assume will last forever.

The single TLD that changed it’s whois domain and let the old one expire was the cause.

I ordered something like shampoo. It opened in the box and got everywhere. Amazon wanted me to return it for a refund. The box was soaked. No way I could have returned it.

I still remember what my mother said to me when I got a girlfriend. “Use a condom.” That was it. No pretending it wasn’t going to happen.

As for drugs, my family never liked them. They never told us kids, but my father had an issue with opiates that’s cost him his job and medical license. My older brother also had an issue with opiates.

I used to do a lot of research on erowid on drugs. Between my brother and I it was a lot of don’t be stupid, do your research on what’s safe and what interacts with each other, and stay away from opiates.

For the most part, it wasn’t talked about much in my family, other than my older brother my younger brother and I didn’t gravitate to them too much or hang with people who did. I ended up getting really into weed for a short time, because that’s where my ADHD hyper focus hobby was for a few months. Then I realized I didn’t like not being sober that much.

When a student goes to school, the school becomes in loco parentis and the student doesn’t have protection from school officials. Children, on campus, general do not have protection for free speech, protection from unreasonable searches or seizures, or really any of their rights.

The school, acting as parents, can restrict their speech, search their bags, and confiscate contraband.

The school can even waive most of the child’s rights even when dealing with law enforcement until parents arrive.

I always felt this game was begging for a VR remake.

I’m surprised that it didn’t become one of the first.

On her computer, why not just use Thunderbird on it? Or even outlook, or whatever she likes. She just needs to pick the software.

On her phone, or even yours, why the stuff with accessing Thunderbird through vnc. Just add the server to whatever mail app on your phones?

If you want a web based thing, roundcube or sogo. But Thunderbird is gonna suck the way you are trying to use it.

Stupid rspamd default config on my server blocked an email confirming an order from rayban I guess because it was the first time it saw an email from them? Couldn’t even release it, which annoyed me greatly.

And it also put a confirmation from a hotel into quarantine because the resort didn’t have a valid spf record. But at least I could release that one.

I ended up making it much more permissive as a result. But it was super annoying.
