That is a deadly mindset. And there’s a dehumanising element inherently in that, that not only are we not worth it, but that worth itself is a product of wealth.

I think so, yes. Slovenia and Finland are relatively proactive countries that tackle issues. Finland “ended” homelessness, for just one example. And Slovenia has tackled many issues that Anglo nations are forever dithering over.


I am astounded at how slow governments are to deal with urgency: stochastic terrorism, foreign interference, climate emergency.
I couldn’t have said it better. Some people are genuinely not suited to it without other interventions first, but for everyone else, it’s basic mental hygiene.
