I’ve dealt with wolves at the wildlife sanctuary before. They’re big stupid smelly dogs. If you can flex your arm real good they won’t be able to tear into you, and if you can put your weight on them you’ve already won.
Definitely don’t recommend it for people with brittle bones, or discord mods, but I’m jacked af bro.
You’re not completely wrong, but if safety is your concern then you should really be operating under the assumption that the animal will attack you. In that case you’ve chosen a 200 kg gorilla who can climb over a 40 kg wolf who can’t. Bears are actually the heavier of the three depending on race and gender, and some of them can climb while others cannot.
Well, I guess we could make memes about Xi Jinping removing his own term limits, being elected by 98% of congress (somebody was absent), burning down temples, sending troops to quell protests, filling in the sea, splattering harmful rocket fuel and sometimes parts from booster engines across populated areas, attacking Philippine fishing boats, or the concentration camps. Idk. Seem kind of in poor taste. Except for filling in the sea, thats got potential.
How about a meme about homeless people who have assigned homes outside of the district they live and work in.
At the same time, lawyers also fight the phenomenon because if your product name becomes the concept itself it loses all trademark enforcement. There’s a chart posted on this site somewhere that shows words losing trademark status because of court rulings, but I guess I didn’t save it. The term is “genericized trademark”.
Not every large game company acts this way.
I’d like you to name a large game company that hasn’t done this, I’m not aware of a single one.
This is also not what he did at all - he didn’t restructure the studios after buying them, he closed them and laid off their employees.
Incorrect, employees are being moved to different studios. I’m unaware how many, if any, are being laid off. For example, Roundhouse is being assigned to Zenimax who run Elder Scrolls Online which is admittedly actually a pretty cool game.
He’s a known liar (just a year ago he claimed Arkane will continue to polish Redfall, now Arkane Austin has closed before giving people DLC they already paid for)
A corporate hack who is in touch with what gamers want is still better than some other out of touch corporate shill, as the state of gaming exemplifies every single day. On the subject of Redfall, it’s no surprise that studio got shut down after the incredible failures at launch, they clearly were never qualified to work on the title anyways, and that’s hardly Phil Spencer’s fault.
Why are we quoting each other? I remember the comment before yours. I made it. Idiot.
Lmfao from the first name on this list I can tell you that 7 days to die is not running kernel level anti-cheat. You’ve illustrated you have no idea what you’re talking about.
Kernel Level anticheat requires that it runs at startup of your computer. Examples are Riot’s Vanguard and nProtect’s GameGuard (which Helldivers 2 uses).
Idk, Kotaku isn’t exactly a good source for ethics in this industry. They list something that every single large game company does: buy studios, move talent around, close the old studios. They also talk about how he claims to champion preservation and emulation, something we all agree with.
I vote he stays.
Lmao, I can think of exactly 2 publishers who do this and they’re getting shredded by critics, rn. Security experts think it’s a fucking joke for the company and the users alike. Hopefully not “the way the industry is going”, more likely to get banned in modern nations, soon.
Ignorance, especially willful, is not only a good definition of stupid but also a form of evil itself.
Kind of ironic that they chose a thumbnail image of a character from a game suffering a slow decline and death due to being abandoned by the studio, with item server outtages and waves of bots and hackers that the community have created their own methods to deal with.
Other than that, I completely unironically agree!
Counterpoint, 90% of dogs are companion pets and police dogs are selectively bred and trained for taking down suspects. Plus, how many of those people die? Predators don’t risk injury while hunting unless completely starved, wolves are pack hunters that surround their prey.
