  • I read this book this week called Oops I accidentally ate a vengence demon and there is a character who died as a toddler by drowning in the tub and then her mom went insane and used necromancy to bring her back and it went awry. She went through necrosis and by the time they figured out how to stop her from progressing, all that was left was her bones. So she is a walking skeleton with an illusion on her at all times.

I feel like she would really love this meme.

  • I think you’re “from” whereever you went to school the most in or better put, whereever you grew up in and spent your formative years that defined your worldview.

I’m from NYC and as a native New Yorker, we don’t see anyone as a New Yorker who hasn’t at least gone to high school in nyc. I’m from South Brooklyn specifically. Its a game we play with other natives and we compare schools and talk trash. I won’t see anyone truly as a New Yorker otherwise.

But to not natives, it really doesn’t matter. Be it a month or ten years, it’s the same shit. You know your neighborhood and you keep your head down and do what you need to do to survive. Any other transplant gatekeeping on you can kiss your ass. You wanna be a New Yorker, you’re a New Yorker.

  • I went to school in the fingerlakes. I like Ithaca a lot. Its this town sitting on top of a mountain surrounded by other mountains. It feels serene and surreal to be there. I think the food is good and the locals really seem to care about their town. Idk about Troy. Most people who live there don’t seem to love it when you ask them about it, but my fav video game shops is there. It’s really small, but the town itself is cute. If you’re ever going to the area as a tourist, id recommend the fingerlakes wine trail. Angry Orchard hard cider is also produced around there. The wine trail is most popular in the fall and its so worth it. My favorite winery is Montezuma and their tasting comes with a wine glass! (And they make fudge and its soooo good). Summer time all the creamerys open and the fun ice cream flavors and wines slushes are such a treat. If I ever have money, I’d love to buy a home in Skaneateles off of the water and just live the rest of my days in peace.

Long story short, I like the area so much id say its worth a visit.
