Oh, it does show up on desktop, not on mobile however.
I know right? It even has var with implicit typing now. While I prefer Kotlin any day, there’s been quite a few qol improvements to Java over the last few years.

Since Java 21, this has been shortened significantly. https://www.baeldung.com/java-21-unnamed-class-instance-main
I didn’t even notice. However now that I’m aware, I like that it’s not shown. Displaying a total score just incentivises karma farming.
That has been possible for a long time already, and I can’t see what publishing the source code changes in that regard. Am I missing something? It still costs more money to use Windows over Linux, and I think that is the reason why governments are moving over.
And how is this going to stop anyone from moving away from Microsoft?
It’s a reference to The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka.
That would be the optimal case, however in reality, limited runs and other marketing tactics heavily manipulate people into buying overpriced stuff they don’t need. I think it’s unfair to put all the responsibility of deciding what acceptable prices are on the buyer, when companies spend billions in researching marketing tactics. That’s why there needs to be more guard rails coming from governments, so that consumers can’t be abused as much.
It’s a trend in road cycling at least. You completely degrease the chain and then dip it in a special hot wax. Apparently it lasts longer than oil and doesn’t attract dirt.
