Some seasons are like that. I have also had seasons where irl stuff caused me to not really get into a show that I later enjoyed a lot. We don’t watch this stuff in a vacuum and stuff going on in the rest of our life colors how we receive something. There are decades of anime or even non-anime stuff out there to explore. I have mentioned elsewhere that I kind of have a list of shows/manga that I know I am probably going to like, but haven’t watched/read yet, that I can turn to if I need something like a palate cleanser.
