My computer is a hulking machine. It doesn’t need a graphics card, it has ~32GB of Ram and a good processor. It is an oversized, hulking beast with a case from 2004, modified (it likes when I drill it) to fit modern hardware because I love the old time aesthetic. :w His name is Steel, and he commands the other computers in my network like a strong, sexy Stalin.a Despite how beautiful he is, Steel wouldn’t be anything without his brain. Thankfully, he runs on Debian, which means that he fulfills all of my needs. I can be very needy.
Steel uses i3wm, along with custom bindings and my own rice so that I have maximum efficiency while still logging in to that hacker aesthetic. This is where I get the most aroused. There :w is something about never needing a mouse… I threw my mouse in the trash. I play all my games with a controller.
STEAM - my god steam. My big, handsome computer plays all the games, without me ever needing to use a mouse. All 5 monitors mean that I can play Dwarf Fortress while I play Fallout 2 (New Vegas when I am feeling casual) and even play freeciv at the same time.
I am a writer, and I use vim btw. Thanks :w to my GLORIOUS vimrc file (which I will share if anyone wants) I can used vim as a word processor for text files. It even includes the functionality of split screen with linked scrolling for easy editing. It has all the color schemes. It has been compiled from source so that I can use the system clipboard for yanks and cuts.
I know that this all was a lot, and I’m sorry for the :w wall of text. All of this was required so that you can understand my situation. I am sitting here, surrounded by monitors, and I just can’t stop from being aroused. I don’t even fantasize about humans anymore. I asked my husband if we could bring my computers into the bedroom, but he didn’t like the idea. If my newfound attraction is normal, how can I get my husband to aqueous to my needs?

My terminal. I use LSD so that I can have icons along with my file names and directories. I also use a custom script to show all output of ls in rainbow text. This is not lolcat. Every word is a different color, not every letter. The terminal is my music player, my web browser (I’m typing this from the terminal), and my lover. I watch movies from the terminal. I couldn’t do it without Debian. Hrrrngh.

My screens. Years of red hot activism have given me many friends willing to part with broken monitors. Thanks to Xrand and other tools, I can display the picture on the monitor in a careful way that avoids any of the artifacts from broken screens. While not all of my screens are broken, they add a very cyberpunk punch. :w
