I don’t remember if they do this in Cyberpunk, but I always hated it when some character is dying and I have a stim or a health potion or similar things on me, and I can’t use it on them. Instead, my character just fucking turns into an inept, stuttering idiot. Like, there should be a pay off for being well prepared!

Also, fuck games who make my character super powerful mid gameplay, but then lets them get pummeled by some weak ass attacks I could’ve easily dodged during a cutscene.

Anyway, thanks for coming to my TedTalk.

If we’re talking about silly game tropes, I dislike the one where in a cutscene they’re shocked and struggling to deal with the fact they just killed someone. Meanwhile, I’ve been a one man genocide machine throughout the game.

I like it in the Tomb Raider reboot, the first kill is like that and after she got over it she became the genocide machine. I think it was lampooned in one of the sequels.

You’re not allowed to keep Jackie hopped on stims in the Delamain until you reach Vic but two hours earlier you had a cutscene moment where you stim a hostage to wake her back up from basically death.

      It’s fucking bullshit

What makes this even funnier: The next time you enter a Delamain, Takemura does basically exactly this to you, with a supposedly very delicate injection, while you are speeding through the city.

Jackie’s entire storyline was handled with incredible incompetence imo. If you choose a single wrong dialogue option you don’t get the whole ofrenda questline. Like, do you want me to care about this character or not?
