It’s kinda annoying opening the community and seeing posts made only by a single person bot that posts so much that actually genuine content get suffucated, i think we all know who i talk about (if not, it’s Sanitation), they don’t even link the original post (which i know it’s not obbligatory but cmon…!) I can block them though so it’s only mildly infuriating, though, it makes genuine posters have less comments (and so discussion)
Please, if you are a mod and read this, i ask to take action and if you are not a mod, please feel free to discuss about that with me and everyone else

    At first I read this and was like, “Wait, who?” I went back to the main page and tried seeing any posts by that name. I tried every sort-type and didn’t see it. So I looked up the name directly.

    Found the profile. In the corner, I saw the button: “Unblock user.”

    Ha! No wonder I didn’t recognize the name. - turns out I already blocked them some time ago! I rarely block anybody, their posts must have overwhelmingly been utter garbage to make it onto that short list.

        I think people that say lemmy is full of content and by posting content im “suffocating an active community” are kind of losing their story if username of an active user is that recognizable. I think lemmy is starved for content and it shows, thare are just no or very little contributors.

        It is truly confusing why would lemmy attempt to stop an active contributor given total lack of content.

            It’s memes. All of this crap on lemmy is just stolen content for 99% of it. Not sure what you think lemmy is, it’s reddit just decentralized and this quality content complaint is just bizarre. All this content gets recycled through all major networks reddit, x, 4chan, Facebook etc.

          With no horse in the race, I think it’s just a reaction to seeing your name everywhere. The fedv genuinely isn’t that used to activity and everyone is understandably suspicious in the Age of Slop. I’d like to say that maybe if you proved your humanity blah blah blah, but realistically that wouldn’t be anywhere near enough
