The general public buy the things that are made so they ultimately have the final say.

The fact that those are displayed and selling means they don’t care and will buy it.

A mate of mine certainly can’t and keeps sending the sloppiest slop to me with comments that seem to suggest he thinks it’s real.

The uneducated masses still don’t like AI slop. They are fatigued by it.

It still gets bought because a lot of people haven’t learned to identify it but if you told them it’s slop they’d probably change their minds. Yeah, they’re not going to spend hours researching birthday cards, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have AI fatigue.

I really do hate this shit. There is no upside for humanity here. It’s just one more thing gifting scumbags can use to degrade the quality of art on a global scale.

Its hard to care frankly. Disposable greeting cards are looked at for ten seconds and then into the bin. Maybe its time to retire that practice instead.

Yeah it’s not like birthday cards were some high form of art before lol. A pic of cake and a dumb joke

I’m willing to bet it’s 99,99% just some Shutterstock type slop that’s used all over the world and the designers get paid shit.

As for AI destroying creative jobs, that’s very very low on the totem pole for me

I have bad eyesight, but I seriously thought the shirt said “gort” upon first glance.
