Oh, this is exactly how my memory works. I can’t really remember the day I got married… It’s less than a decade ago.
It’s quite embarrassing.
First I thought it was because I didn’t really care too much about the episodes I couldn’t remember, but I would really like to keep these kinds of memory. I’ve always been kind of being scared of being predisposed for dementia or similar…
I’ve never researched this, but now I will.
The other kind of memory, the factual memory, is apparently called semantic memory.
