Roblox has admitted that a lack of breakout hit games contributed to a disappointing quarter, as the company has now lost around $70 billion in market value over the last year.
Yeah, even before it was released there were so many kids are still messing around with Garry’s Mod. New generations of kids playing with 20-year-old software.
It’s the same kind of game mode browser as Roblox. It’s not that big yet but it’s from the people who made Garry’s mod so i bet it’ll stick around long enough to reach a critical mass of different games to play and developers working on new ones. I hope it takes off because it’s basically the steam version of Roblox or Fortnite.
As a dev or asset maker you can make commission on the game modes/ items/ art you upload to the workshop based on how much other people use it.
Did they actually make s&box open source? Because when I tried building the engine from github after the Steam launch it wasn’t working anymore and forums were saying it required a purchase.

Is this good for children to play? Having a really hard time keeping our daughter from Roblox. A good alternative could go miles.
Right now the developers aren’t policing Slop so only if you’re okay with that. Also, it’s not free.
