well…maybe it’s some use case, but technology should be used to do stuff that humans don’t want or need to do. unless…

    Lol, didn’t even notice that.

On a side note, imagine making Gravity Falls and never getting to work on another show again. We don’t push pro-comicbook propaganda to animation workers hard enough.

No, he is fine as far as I’m aware. But he didn’t get to create anything after Gravity Falls, he was working on something with Netflix but nothing came of it. I’m not aware of anyone besides Dana Terrace who made a successful cartoon in recent memory and managed to move on to a new project. Western animation is cooked.

Infinity Train is pretty great as well if you like gravity falls. Owen Dennis, the creator of Infinity train worked on Regular Show, and after infinity train got canned and removed by HBO Max during their animation purge in 2022, he ended up working on an Among Us movie lol

Oh I watched the first three seasons of Infinity Train already, the whole shitshow that followed made me give up on animation entirely. And seeing the state of animation these days confirms that I’ve made the right call in my opinion.

Just read (comic)books people, books are just better.

I like voice actors and music though :(

But yeah it’s pretty bleak. An animation renaissance is one of the many things to look forward to in a post-capitalist society.
