They would also understand that black people, as human beings are animals, but that women are humans. Jews are pretty new anyway. Gays would have been mostly seen as natural(it actually has a lot of history of being seen that way)
Even if you do that, you still have modern ideas destroying the entire planet to the point that it becomes unlivable for humans. Only modern capitalist society, has ever even come close to that.
Australia, a good bit of the Americas and Africa, northern Asia and a bunch of other places were settled by hunter gathers only as late as 600years ago. Some even remain today and we are actually studying them.
