MY FINAL MESSAGE TO THE DBZER0 COMMUNITY

I did not think that I would have to make another one so soon, but sadly I must. Once again, I am here to say goodbye to a community that I have contributed so much to. I ask that at this moment you not harass anyone else. This message was not meant with the intent to start up another drama; it’s made to finally put this one to rest.
Today I have officially stepped down as admin completely voluntarily; I have done so entirely of my own free will to avoid escalating the ongoing drama. Many of the statements I made in the past and especially in the last couple of hours were unjustifiable; many of them I continue to stand by today. But this isn’t about the comments or what I have done, nor is it about what started this. This is about respect; I respect this community enough to know that my time here is over.
All I ask of this community in return is that more consideration in the future is made to respect as well, that hopefully one day left-wing infighting may end. That day is clearly not today, but I leave with this final departing request: think about what I have said today. Even if you do not agree, even if you outright reject my message, I ask only that everyone here read it and genuinely try to understand where I’m coming from. If that is done and you still find my message is found reprehensable than I am ok with that; I ask for no more.
From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for this opportunity, and I thank you for letting me be a part of this community. Goobye

reading the context and the comments was just sort of depressing. its sad that so many supposed-anarchist communities police each other in such a suffocating way… honestly tracks with how organizing with them irl can be sometimes.
on another note, there is no way that “tankie” will become a stand-in for any anticommunist slur- and that anarchists will find themselves eventually being labeled tankies and excluded from the very spaces they created by other liberals because they were already feeding into anticommunism, right?
Also, when one is banned from an anarchist community, on who’s authority is the ban occurring? Does everyone wait for consensus or is it just based on vibes? what keeps it from being “authoritarian”? (this is a genuine question, not meant to be sarcastic)
Nobody got “banned from an anarchist space” . What are you talking about?
Anarchists already get labeled as tankies sometimes from people who think “tankie” is synonymous with “socialist” but it never really sticks as we don’t support authoritarian nations. No big deal. We get labeled other things as anarchism is scary and dangerous to the status of quo of course. But that’s the way the game is played.
They have to make things up because otherwise they have nothing.
