I am buying a house because fuck landlords. I’m being kicked out of my place by ‘no fault’ and I’ve had enough of living at the whims of another money hording person being a dick… Ok rant part over… This new house is old and a bit beat up but solid enough to start a life in. It also has a big (by my standard) garden which I have no idea what to outside of just ‘plant stuff’. I don’t have measurements or know the size of anything, but I want to somehow give some of my space to those who don’t have any and make it a place to share. Does anyone have any ideas or thoughts?

I just redid the wiki recently to match the Reddit wiki so you no longer need to go to Reddit for the good info. I’m not sure where you live but I’d see if you have any native plant groups around you. The US has wildones.org which has some pretty great info on their website.
