      I always thought the community was name squatting to prevent the negativity from congregation.
      Not literally blocking the name like r/superbowl, as that’s easily circumvented (especially on the fediverse), but rather the association people have with the word.

      I guess the rabbit hole isn’t as deep as I thought.

        Ngl, offering healthier options than exist elsewhere is my goal for everything I do on Lemmy. If I can set a good example and moderate well, I can give people a better option than some of the places I’ve come across.

        I think it’s definitely about setting a different vibe than the *cel type communities often have. A little bit about unashamed feminine-ish desire. A little bit about being unashamed of my problems. It’s a bit outre, a bit messy, a bit covered in glitter. Life is shit but we’re hot girl shit about it.
